This month I caught WGSN's Global Key Colours A/W 28/29 roundtable - and of all the colors presented, Liminal Yellow was my fave.
It's a slightly acidic, almost artificial yellow that feels futuristic.
They explored it through a few different directions, including "Soft Brutalism," pairing the color with industrial grays, metallic finishes and technical materials.
I particularly love how it can warm up something otherwise quite cold or technical.
In travel goods and accessories, I can see this working beautifully as an accent. Or as a flash of color against a more understated exterior.
And beyond the product itself, there's so much potential in packaging and brand expression.
It's a color that can feel artificial and optimistic at the same time, which is an interesting balance.
