A Case for Audio Materials

Material ConneXion references

Audio materials we can’t stop thinking about from Material ConneXion👂

Both are designed for sound absorption, but what caught our eye was the texture and serious potential beyond interiors.

On the left:
Recycled fiber panel
→ ~70% recycled content
→ soft, lightweight, strong acoustic performance

On the right:
Wool felt acoustic panel
→ 100% wool
→ tackable, structured, peel + stick backing

These are meant for walls, but could easily translate into travel product applications!

Here's the thinking:
• interior padding for luggage
• protective dividers for accessories (cameras, tech equipment, etc.)
• soft structure without adding weight
• natural, tactile alternative to traditional foams

An interesting space to keep in mind
